Bill Patten has over 40 years of experience owning, selling, and managing businesses, including a micrographics business, a records storage and shredding business, two large printing companies, a tool manufacturing company, and an automation company. These businesses have ranged from 5 employees up to 200 employees. One of his businesses earned recognition from Inc. Magazine as one of the 500 fastest-growing privately held businesses in the country.

With this experience, Bill understands the challenges and gratification of owning your own business, the emotional conflicts when selling your business, and the importance of knowing how to best market, package, and sell or purchase your business.

Born and raised in the Northwest, Bill understands the business culture here and has a wide network of business professionals to help you in selling your business. In 1994, Bill earned his MBA from the University of Washington Executive MBA School. This business and financial training, combined with his experience, makes Bill well qualified to help you sell your business or purchase a business professionally and fairly.

A native Oregonian, Dan Tracy earned his undergraduate degree from Oregon State University as a Business Administration major. Out of OSU, he worked for Pacific Seafood Company in their Mukilteo, WA, and Clackamas, OR branches as a local outside, and subsequently, national salesperson. During his time with Pacific Seafood Co., Dan earned his MBA from the University of Portland.

In 2003 Dan founded his first of three companies, American Custom Products, LLC (ACP). What began as a small garage organization company grew to a regional business that had operations in Seattle, Portland, Dallas, and Houston. Dan ran ACP from its inception until he sold the company in 2009.

In 2005 Dan formed Affluent Direct Marketing, LLC (ADM). ADM operated an upscale direct mail franchise known as RSVP Publications and did business in the greater Houston area. ADM was sold in 2010. In 2011 Dan founded Premier Energy, Inc dba Premier Solar NW. Premier Solar NW installed photovoltaic solar panels for residential and commercial customers in Oregon and Washington. Premier was sold in 2018.

Dan used the services of business brokers for two of the three companies he sold. It was the positive experience of working with those brokers and his interest in providing similar help to other business sellers that compelled Dan to become a business broker himself.

He is driven to provide an excellent experience for those business owners who choose to trust him with the sale of their companies. Dan is no stranger to the challenges faced by small businesses and entrepreneurs. He knows what it takes to position a company in a manner that will provide a realistic representation of the company for sale and attract qualified buyers.

Since graduating from Seattle Pacific University’s Business School in 2009, Daniel Patten has been involved in various roles with both large and small companies here in the Pacific Northwest, as well as internationally in Australia. He has experience in marketing, sales, accounting and finance, operations, and employee management.

Over the course of the last few years, he has been mentored and trained by Bill Patten in his career transition to a business broker. Daniel brings a fresh face and new energy to the Sunbelt team with a passion for helping others. Combined with the wealth of experience of the other members of the Sunbelt team, Daniel has the tools and the drive to help you sell, grow your business, and help you achieve your goals.
